This shell caught my attention on an early morning walk in Cape May, New Jersey. It reminded me of an ear as it lay open to the air, sun, and sea that gently washed over it.

Something within me asked: My dear one, are you open to receiving the day’s gifts? How will you listen for God with the ear of your heart? How will you be a listening presence for others? Oh goodness, the answers are the work of Love, and the task of a lifetime! I picked up the shell and brought it home as a visual reminder of these questions.
